The characters are unabashed by their needs, and the writing is flirty fun. Playing with the Gods is the kind of book that is perfect for a quick escape from reality. Kudos to Ms. Tanner for creating a enticing tale.

Miranda leads an exciting life in Incognito. I enjoyed the adventures that take place and how Miranda deals with each. She’s exposed to many things she never dreamed of actually doing, yet when presented, she doesn’t back down from them. Incognito is an enlightening tale of a woman’s sexual exploits. Not a novel to pass up if you like erotica. Ms. Sarai penned a great story and I look forward to reading more of her future works.

Out of Control

February 19, 2008 at 1:10 am (Erotica, Four Flame, contemporary, reviews, suspense)

From the Publisher…

In Behind Closed Doors and Standing in the Shadows, Shannon McKenna introduced the McCloud Brothers: intense, rugged, super-sexy, and deliciously sensual. Now, Davy McCloud is about to meet a woman he can’t trust–or live without . . .

Disillusioned P.I Davy McCloud has learned the hard way not to follow blind impulse when it comes to women. He’d rather play it safe, and keep his life simple, calm and uncomplicated. But he’s prepared to make an exception when Margot Vetter shows up to teach at the gym next door. The luscious, mysterious woman stirs a hunger he hasn’t felt in a long time, as well as a fierce protectiveness he can’t quite explain, expecially when her background check reveals she’s hiding secrets–secrets of the ugly, deadly kind.

Margot is at the end of her rope. It’s bad enough that she’s broke and on the run, framed for a murder she didn’t commit. Now, she’s being terrorized by a malevolent stalker. The only person she dares to turn to is buff, scarily gorgeous Davy McCloud, a man who seems like nothing on earth could intimidate him. But Davy has questions of his own, and the closer she gets to him, the more Margot discovers that she can’t hold herself back from this enigmatic, sensual man in any way.

Neither of them expected passion to flare this quickly–or to drag them into a danger as real as their love. Margot’s past has finally caught up with her. And for Davy McCloud, life is about to get more than complicated . . .

It’s turning deadly . . .

Author: Tori Napoli

Publisher: Samhain Publishing

Genre: Mainstream Erotica

Length: Novel/approx. 288 pages

ISBN: 1-59998-143-2

Sensual Rating: Five Flames

It’s summertime and Jimmy is in need of something to do. Taking the entrepreneur route, he decides to open up his own lawn mowing business, offering  certain advantages on the side. He learns a lot about women,  life and  heartache  during this summer and the kind of life-long lessons that turn him from a boy into a man.

This story is skillfully told so that the reader relates to not one, but all of the characters. Jimmy has several clients scheduled for his “deluxe” services, yet the author conveys to the reader in each encounter that it’s more than just sex. For Jimmy it’s a learning experience and for the women, it’s needs being fulfilled. I wasn’t sure how this plot would work but the author handled it beautifully. A recommended read!

Kaydana and the Staff of Ishlun by Nyki Blatchley

Kaydana has come to the city of Mardish to make her living as a freelance sorceress, only to find that ever other magic-worker has had the same idea. Forced to get by on very little, she takes on a commission from a seductive girl called Tati to rescue her brother/lover Dalu. They are Sheovin – humanoid, but with golden skin and tails – who are persecuted in Mardish, and Dalu has fallen into the hands of the sorcerer-king Grunard and his demon protector.

Reluctantly, and tricked by Tati’s sexual skills, Kaydana agrees to help get Dalu out of the royal dungeons where he’s being tortured by the king and his demons, prior to being mass-raped and devoured for the entertainment of the king’s guests. But the king’s son, Makreth, has other ideas, both about Kaydana and about the magic staff she carries. In the midst of plots and intrigue, can she rescue Dalu from his fate – and prevent Tati from sharing it? And what will the experience teach her about the darker depths of her sexual tastes?

This is the first of a series of sizzlingly erotic sword and sorcery tales about the adventures of Kaydana the Sorceress.
